So . . . .
tell me your favorite book or movie. The one you read/watch over and over again! Remember this is a family friendly blog so make sure your comments are okay for little people to read. Thanks!

I will start . . . .
I love anything written by Lori Wick but my favorite book by her is Pretense. I have probably read it 10 times or more. Anyone like her too?
Hmm, I don't think I've read any of her books? I have to admit, I was sucked into the Twilight books!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book ever would have to be the Little House on the Prarie series.
Favorite movie? Hmmm, I love Steel Magnolias. If it's on, I'm watching it! A League Of Their Own is really good too.
We just saw Tangled in the movie theater and I LOVED it!
@Heather--I haven't read the Twilight books yet. I guess if you were sucked in that you like them? I love the Little House series! We read them aloud to our kids still.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a nerd. I like Freakanomics & books by Malcolm Gladwell like Blink, Tipping Point, What the Dog Saw.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Father of the Bride. Or the American President.
Great idea to get people involved. I could watch "The Princess Bride" over and over again. It was my favorite as a little girl, and always will be :) Really cute blog, and looking forward to having a better peek around! Happy Friday from FTLOB blog hop!

ReplyDelete@shannon--never heard of Freakanomics & books by Malcolm Gladwell like Blink, Tipping Point, What the Dog Saw.--hmmm doesn't that mean I am not a nerd? Love Father of the the Bride!
ReplyDelete@ tex--I really should have listed Princess Bride as my favorite--I left that off--might have to watch it tomorrow. :)
@poe--have you read all the rest of her series? I work my way through them every so often.
Hi Kim...not quite a lurker...but I have read a few of your posts here & there. Have not read any Lori Wicks' books or any of the Twilight series. Hmmmm. I do love anything by C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. They were like best buds, right?? I LOVE Man from Snowy River and Return to Snowy River. Just watched it last week and when I mentioned to my hubby that I ruined my cassette of the soundtrack to the movie (Yes...I have had it a looong time) by listening to it so much, last night he tossed a package to me that came in the mail. Soundtrack CD of the Man from Snowy River. What a guy!! Also love The Incredibles. Keep recuperating!
ReplyDelete@Tina--not a quite a lurker, I like that about you. Thanks for the well wishes. I have some of the soundtrack on my lists on Grooveshark! Love the Man from Snowy River too! Make the kids watch it with me! Thanks for coming by.

I hope you recupe well and despite having to recupe that you enjoy the down time.
Found your blog today. Neat! We are just at the beginning stages of trying for a family. My husband was home-schooled most of the way but I attended large public schools (over 600 in elementary and thousands in high school) and a big university. I am a little stymied yet intrigued by homeschooling. You make it sound very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book is Beak of the Finch by Jonathan Weiner. I read it in high school and learned a lot about field work and evolution.
